Looking for information for Sabra WILCOX/WILLCOX daughter of Hassard WILLCOX and possibly Eunice WATSON WILLCOX, born December 1766, possibly in Newhaven, Vermont. Family tradition holds that the 1777 Battle of Bennington was fought on the Willcox farm. Sabra married 1. Amos WRIGHT 2. William PURDY. Siblings were Sarah b 1761 married Freeborn WATSON; William; Hazard b December 25, 1775 married 1.Nancy MAXON 2. Sarah SEELEY. These children moved to Yonge Township area in Ontario after Hassard Sr. was killed in the Battle of White Plains, New York with their mother dying not long after the father, leaving them to petition the Crown for restitution. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
