I am researching the ARCHIBALD SMALL family. Archibald was b.May 21, 1832 in Indiana. He died September 13, 1883, and is buried in Burris Cemetery - Tuscumbia, Missouri. My Archibald was married to Mary Ann WILLIS. They are found in the 1880 US Census records from E.D.65, Spring Creek, Dent, Missouri. Family History Library 1254685 - NA Film Number T9-0685, Page Number 418C. Seven of their children are listed on this census, one of which is LEVI H. SMALL, who is my grandfather. In this census Archibald listed his Father's birthplace as North Carolina, and his Mother's birthplace as Maryland ...alas, no names were given. Other children listed in this household (in order of birth) are, Arthur E., Archibald B., Willis K., Daniel T., Mary A., and Thomas A.H. SMALL. There were two older children who by the time of the 1880 census, were probably in their own households - Perry C. & Nancy C. ... and a younger child, Laura B., who we surmise died as an infant, as she was born in 1878, but not listed in the 1880 census. I know Willis md.later in life, to Liza Ann Southerland. Arthur md. Nancy Ann Hawkin. Daniel md. Cordelia Ann Scrimmager. Levi md. Murtice Ophelia Sharp. Mary A. md. J.Seymour Sparks, and Curtis Barton. Thomas A.H. md. Minta Lenora Goodrick. Thomas A.H. was a streetcar conductor in Kansas City, MO. Are any of the SMALL descendants from this line also searching ??? I am seeking more information about Archibald's parents (their names, etc.) who only had their birthplaces listed as: "Father's Birthplace - North Carolina" and "Mother's Birthplace - Maryland".
