Looking for father of Angus Alexander Morrison, born about 1826 in Washington County, GA. 1826 --Angus Alexander (A.A.) Morrison born in Georgia. 1830 -- Penelope Frances Cato born (will marry Angus Morrison 12/19/48)). 1848 -- “Anguish” Morrison “received by experience, Bethlehem Ch. 10/14/1848. 1848 -- Angus A. Morrison marries Penelope Frances Cato on Dec. 19. 1851 -- Keziah Mahala Morrison born to Angus and Penelope. 1855 -- James C. Morrison born in Texas to Angus and Penelope. 1857 -- Eliza/Lizzie Vinson born to Josiah & Mary Vinson, Ga. (marries James C.) 1858 -- John T. Morrison born in GA to Angus and Penelope. 1860 -- Penelope Morrison born to Angus and Penelope. 1861 -- A.A. Morrison witness on will of Elizabeth Odom (did he later marry her daughter-in-law?) 1862-65 -- A. A. Morrison in Civil War, Co. B, 28th Regiment, GA Vol. Inf., Sandersville Volunteers, pvt. March r, 1862, (badly) wounded at Bentonville, NC, March 19, 1865 while fighting Sherman’s Army. Surrendered at Greensboro April 26, 1865. Bentonville was South’s last big effort to stop Sherman. 1864 -- Sherman burns courthouse, jail at Sandersville, GA., 11/27/64 (there go the records!). 1865 -- A.A. Morrison badly wounded at Bentonville, NC, in fight with Sheman’s troops, later surrenders at Greensboro, presumably returns home to find Sandersville & Davisboro devastated by Sherman’s troops. 1866 -- A.A. Morrison property mentioned in legal notice in Central Georgian. 1868 -- Angus A. Morrison Jr. born to Angus and Penelope. 1868 -- A.A. Morrison on grand jury, Sept. 1868. 1869 -- A.A. Morrison marries Elizabeth Odom 8/19/ 1869 (Penelope dead?). 1869 -- Keziah Morrison marries Alfred Wise 11/11/1869 at home of Mr. A.A. Morrison (A.A.’s wife, Penelope, is apparently dead.) 1879 -- A.A.Morrison is a “commissioner” on land distribution (David Tanner family). 1879 -- A.A. Morrison serves on Traverse Jury. 1880 -- AA Morrison on 93rd district school board. 1880-- John T. Morrison (son of Angus) marries Mary G. Cato 1/27/1880. 1885 -- James C. Morrison marries Eliza/Lizzie Vinson on Jan. 22, in Wash. Co., GA. 1885 -- Willie V. Morrison Sr., son of James and Eliza, born 11/23/85. 1886 -- A.A.
