Am trying to locate information about my grandmother's family. Apparently, her family had close ties with Knox County in general, Vincennes in particular. Her mother, Nancy Melvina Ann (Vina) Pryor Brown, died in approximately 1917 and is supposed to be buried in a cemetery in Vincennes. My grandma's father, James Y. Brown, married the secons time to Zenith_____. The first marriage produced four children; the second produced one son, Ralph. James Y. Brown passed away in about 1937 and is said to be buried in the same cemetery as his first wife, but not in the same plot. All I know about his family is that he had several siblings. One of these, a brother named Isom J. Brown, also lived in the Vincennes area. According to Social Security records, Isom passed away in 1964. Anyone with either an obit for Isom, James Y., Vina or Zenith, or any other information about the family, please contact me. Brenda Stambaugh Slaven | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
