Searching for Perkins living in DeKalb county, AL in the mid 1800's. Valleyhead / Mentone area of AL. Unknown Perkins married to Nancy having children born in Georgia. Children's names are Susan, James, and Javan. Susan never married, James married and remained in that area while Javan moved his family on to Texas in the 1880's I believe. My husband is from the Javan side of the family. Javan was in the Confederate Calvary in the Civil War. Would like very much to know the name of his father. My research has been at a stand still for several years, I haven't been able to go further back. Would appreciate anyone help. Thank you! | |||||||||||||||||||||
