I was born January 7th, 1972 in Freeport, Il at the Freeport Hospital. My birth mother's name is listed as Judith Ann Bennel Colbert. There is no father listed. It is my understanding that he worked at the post office in Freeport and my birth was the result of an affair which was to be hush-hush since my birth father was a well known person in the community. Supposedly my birth mother passed away sometime around 1987. I was told that she drank a lot and possibly got into a car accident as a result of driving while under the influence. It has been said that my birth mother had several other children and could not care for another child. I am searching for relatives because I would like to know some medical history. I was very sick a while back and it was never determined what was wrong... stomach problems... ended up in the hospital on Christmas. Anyhow, I am better now but it would be nice to know what ailments my birth parents had or have and/or siblings may have. I did meet a few members of my birth family for a brief moment at a funeral but I was feeling as if "my family" thought I was there to get money which was not the case at all so I kept away.
