I am a birth mother searching for a daughter that was given up for adoption in 1981. I was 18 yrs old at the time, I grew up in southern Alberta and went to Utah to have the baby. She was born Dec. 3, 1981 in Salt Lake City. She was born about 3 wks early and only weighed 3 lb 10 oz and had to stay in the hospital for about 2 wks before she was big enough to go to her new family. She was delivered to her new family just before Christmas, and I was told she was presented in a little Christmas stocking. I knitted a special blanket for her, it was white w/silver sparkles in it. I am blonde with blue eyes, and believe she may also be quite fair, blonde or lighter hair and probably with blue eyes as well. I am not very tall, only 5' 2" so she may not be overly tall either. I was not encouraged or told that I could name her, so on her original birth certificate she was named Baby Girl Isaacson. Our family has recently found out we have a genetic disorder and it could effect, or has effected, her ability to have children. It is not life threatening but important information to know. I would like the opportunity to meet her, but do not want to interfere with her life if she doesn't want to pursue a relationship.
