Query Text: |
My great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather was John Gallimore(born in the early to mid 1720's). The only info I have to date is that he and his wife, Roxanne(unknown surname), were massacred by indians in Virginia, USA in 1732 leaving 6 orphaned children, the eldest of whom was James Gallimore, Sr. James later married Millie(unknown surname). Genealogy goes as follows: John Gallimore(born in the 1720's);James Gallimore, Sr., son,(born around 1724); James Gallimore, Jr., son,(born 1765)married Elizabeth Ridge; Jessee Gallimore, son,(born 1795)married Mary Harris; Levi Gallimore, son,(born 1825)married Elizabeth Hulin; Daniel Travis Gallimore, son,(born 1848)married Mollie Dark; Claude Gallimore, son,(born 1885)married Ivy Pearl Bartley; Virginia Nell Gallimore, daughter,(born 1925)married Ray Udell Sanders; Susan Raylene Sanders, daughter,(born 1960)married Rivers Hill Shaw III. I have no records of this line of Gallimore being in the US prior to 1732. I was told that the Gallimore's came from either the Black Forest in Germany or from Scotland. If you have any info on John Gallimore, please contact me. Thanks. | |||||||||||||||||||||
