I have the following ancestors: Thomas Joseph Curran, born May 1848 in Ireland. His wife, Catherine, born November 1854 in Ireland. They were married in 1874 in Ireland. Their first child, Bridget, was born July 1875 (some records say 1876). According to her marriage record in Iowa, she was born in Croaghbeg in Ireland. Thomas left for America from Moville in 1878 Catherine and Bridget followed in 1880. I have not found their naturalization records, so this is all I have. The only Croaghbeg I have found in Ireland is in County Donegal. they were devout Catholics in America, so assume that was true in Ireland. | |||||||||||||||||||||
