MCDONALD : NICKERSON : RADIGAN : ROCHE : ROGERS

Query Text:

I am looking for my Great Grandfather John Rogers. He left Watford, Ontario Canada around 1883 or so and travelled to Michigan looking for work. He left his wife Bridget (Roche) Rogers behind in Watford with five children. He was never heard from again. John was also known as 'The Irishman' in Watford. Family lore says that he had worked in the Saginaw area in lumber camps but went elsewhere when the work began to dwindle. One lore is that he was spotted years later in the Saginaw area. I am hoping to trace if he ever did work in the lumbercamps of this area; pre 1883 or after. Thanks for any suggestions on how to search for this ancestor. His children were: Molly (McDonald), Catherine (Radigan), Annie (Nickerson), John Rogers and FredRogers. Ann
