Query Text:

Hi, I have been researching my family history for a long time and I need information of the Tasker families from Lancashire around 1800-1900. My history is centered around a Squire or Esquire Tasker, from Lancashire. He took into his care a James Horrocks b 1805 son of James and Ellen Horrocks nee Woods nee Tabley. James was said to have been sent to Ushaw college in county Durham with a son of this Tasker fellow around 1813, this is when James` father died in 1810, James was an heir to a fortune and was supposedly placed into the care of this Tasker for his own safety. James did not know of his inheritance until he came back to Wigan lancahire around 1850. Any info no matter how small will be well appreciated, many thanks Arlene
