Hi, I have been researching my family history for a long time and I need information of the Tasker families from Lancashire around 1800-1900. My history is centered around a Squire or Esquire Tasker, from Lancashire. He took into his care a James Horrocks b 1805 son of James and Ellen Horrocks nee Woods nee Tabley. James was said to have been sent to Ushaw college in county Durham with a son of this Tasker fellow around 1813, this is when James` father died in 1810, James was an heir to a fortune and was supposedly placed into the care of this Tasker for his own safety.
