Searching for the family of my almost 84 year old grandmother. She was given up for adoption in Vancouver BC in 1928. Mothers Maiden Name: Bernice Waite (Possibly "Millar" as well) Mother born in: Bury England Adoption registered December 13th, 1928. Baby Name: Thelma Lorraine Waite No information about the father. Birth: General Hospital, Vancouver, B.C. Whiteside Wilson and White "Barristers and solicitors" legalized the adoption. Grandma is short, has brown eyes, is 84 and healthy. We are wondering if she has siblings that are still alive and much younger than her. She was adopted to a family in Petersburg, Alaska. There were already three boys in her family. Her adoptive parents picked her up and brought her by steam ship to Alaska right around Christmas time of that same year. | |||||||||||||||||||||
