Query Text: |
I am looking for my sister. She was born on October 15, 1943 in Bay Ridge Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. Her name was Susan Udell. She was born healthy and beautiful. After 2 days, they stopped bringing her to my mother for feeding, making up various excuses. On the 3rd day, they told my mother that the baby had died and that the body was disposed of. We believe that she might have been stolen. My mother was very young and unsophisticated and my father was over seas in army. They never produced the body or any report. We understand that this happened from time to time in the 1940s. Some of these babies were sold in black market adoptions. | |||||||||||||||||||||
