I am looking for the birth mother or birth family of my adopted father, BENJAMIN LEVY. He was born on March 27, 1937 in Chester or West Chester, PA. Apparently his birthmother's surname was ALPERIN. He was a preemie & spent 3-4 weeks in the hospital before being taken home by his adoptive parents. He was adopted through the New York Jewish Agency in NY, NY. His adoptive parents names were GATES (known as IZ) & TRESA LEVY (known as TESS). My father is now 75 & received very little info about his adoption. Being one step away from being adopted myself, I have finally decided to pursue this long-delayed inquiry on my father's and sister's behalf. Any info. will be appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||
