Searching for my biological grandmother's family, Werner. My grandmother was Mary (or Maria) Elizabeth Werner, was born in or near Norwood Mass. 1/12/1910. The Werner family lived at 8 School St. in Norwood. At age 21 she gave birth to a blue eyed baby girl in Boston, on 5/11/1931. Mary/Maria was listed in the 1930 census as a lodger, living on Boylston St. in Boston, and may have worked at a Western Union office. She may have named her baby Marie. The baby was adopted shortly after birth by Frank and Mabel Dennison, who lived in Newton Mass., and they named her June Dennison. The baby's father was James Murphy, who was married w/no children. He was 30 years old in 1931. James Murphy was "a college graduate, in the real estate business with his father." Also interested in finding any Murphy relatives. Mary Elizabeth had a younger brother, John. Parents, both from New Brunswick, were Aloysius Werner and Mary Bradley Werner. Aloysius was of German descent, his father was a consulting engineer. Mary Bradley was of English descent, her father was a shoe manufacturer. Aloysius' family lived and worked in Norwood, Ma. He was employed at Plimpton Press. | |||||||||||||||||||||
