Michael Maher (father of the following). We think that he lived in the Pukane area.(Killaloe) John b1790 married Honora Hogan Michael b 1820 (he is told to be from Clonaganna, Dunkerrin, Offaly) he wed Ellen Woods and moved to Bay City Michigan, first with a stop in Lucan, Ontarion, CA James b1786 from somewhere near Puckane (I found an inscription on a grave stone that looks like Killaloe, Killea, or Killoe. some thing like that. He Married Catherine Hanley bc1792 in Ireland) Their children are as follows and born near Puckane. James b1827 married Ellen Cain b1839 do William and Hannah Flannery Cain. The Cain's were from Killodiernan parish in Puckane Edward b1821 married Margaret Heenan Catherine b1834 married Roger Caroll Thomas b1825 married Anne D Arcy (Dorsey) Ellen b1836 All the above left Ireland in c1848 and may have sailed in to Grosse Ile. They later settled in the Buddulph, Lucan, Ontario. They were part of the Donnely affair, were two Irish clans battled many were killed. Any Ideas how i could find were they truely came from? Thanks for your assistance. | |||||||||||||||||||||
