I am searching for my birth mother. My name is Allison Hope Brown, I was born September 2, 1982 at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut at 7:20AM, I was a preemie weighing only 4lbs. Dr. Friedman delivered me. My birth name was "Christina". I was adopted at birth through Jewish Family Services in New Haven, Connecticut. I have very little information about my birth mother except that she was very young when she had me and her pregnancy occurred due to an unfortunate event. Because of that unfortunate event my birth father was not aware of the pregnancy but the small amount of info I do have states that he was a shrimp boat captain and has a daughter named "Heather". Although, I do not wish to meet my birth father that information may be helpful in finding out who my birth mother is. I have some medical history from my birth mother's side of the family and a lovely letter that was written by my birth mother. On the adoptions papersI my birth mother said she was roman catholic, enjoyed rollerskating, dancing and wanted to go to school for early childhood education. Before I was adopted by my new family I was in foster care for almost 2 months. My foster mother's name was "Elayne".
