Hi! I am trying to find out the birthdate and place of my grandfather, James Barber. Born approx. 1881-1884, likely in Lancashire (possibly Chorlton). Parents William Emerson Barber and Mary Jane Doyle. despite this info, can't find him in the General Registry (can't search using parents' names). at some point, he ended up in Glasgow and married my grandmother, Annie Maria Tolland, on Nov. 7, 1924 (his second wife). He died in Glasgow in Nov. 1937(?) approx. Different ages on marriage and death certificates cause doubt as to his birth year. My dad was a toddler when James died, and I'd love to solve this mystery for him. any tips greatly appreciated! thanks and love from Canada! Annemarie
