I am the daughter of an adoptee (female) who refuses to provide any details of her biological parents,or her birth for that matter perhaps because nothing is known. All that I have been told to this point whether it is truthful or not is she may have been born in Edmonton, Alberta on or about July 15, 1936 or 1937. Her adopted parents were homesteaders/farmers (John & Suzanne Neill) near Drumheller, AB (Munson/Morrin, AB. area). Her name is Mary Jane whether it was changed at the time of the adoption is unknown. Mary was raised on a farm with 5 or 6 other adopted children. She was married and gave birth to 10 children of her own, 9 of which are alive. I am one of the 9 children and I am searching for any biological family that I may have out there. Mary would have turned 75/76 this year therefore it is unlikely that her birth parents are still alive; however, as she may have been conceived at a young age it remains possible that one or both of her parents are still alive. My only hope is to connect with some biological family and learn my true roots. I have recently participated in DNA testing to learn my ancestry and once those results are known I will post them in order to provide more information. | |||||||||||||||||||||
