I recently obtained a picture of the headstone of my great great grandfather THOMAS J. HINES or HYNES(b.@1826) who is buried in Kickapoo, Leavenworth County, Kansas. On the headstone was new information for me; place of birth. I had known that THOMAS HINES had come from Ireland, but did not know where. The headstone read: County Wexford. THOMAS HINES married CATHERINE STEPHAN/STEPHENS (b@1832 in NY) in 1849 in Ohio. THOMAS's parents were , I believe but cannot confirm...JAMES HINES and ANNA BUTLER. I am looking for information on any of these HINES/HYNES who may have lived in County Wexford or any other county in Ireland. I have not been able to track any information on JAMES HINES or ANNA BUTLER here in the United States. No mention of them in any of the records on their son THOMAS. I am looking for help in tracking down where THOMAS HINES was born in Ireland (what part of Wexford), any of his early life in Ireland or when he arrived in the United States. In additon any information on JAMES HINES and ANNA BUTLER either in the US or in Ireland would be most appreciated. With much appreciation, Patricia
