I am researching my husband's family of Forgione from Gesualdo Italy. His father changed the name to Keyes when he came to the USA. Nazante Forgione was born in Gesualdo Italy in 1868 and immigrated about 1881-3. His father was Gratio Forgione & his mother was Antonia in onemarriage record and in the other the father was Antonio and the mother Gratia. from the Toronto Archives. It was said he had a sister Conchetta and a brother Carmon. The father owned a funeral home in Sorrento when Nunziante left Italy in fear of the draft. I do not know if he landed in USA or Canada. He married Albertine Dumontet in 1897 in Peterborough. I would like to compare notes with someone who is working on this family. PKeyes | |||||||||||||||||||||
