Looking for birth Mother, b. 1917 (NE state), gave up baby girl in 1942 in Manhatten, New York. Child given name as Lynne Cleary, was in foster care for 5.5 months, birth mother visited every week. She was working in Puerto Rico (for a family as a nanny?) where she dated an army staff sargt. (an accountant?) for 6 months. Pearl Harbor happened and the family returned to New York. The birth mother had 3 siblings, their mother died in abt 1922. The children were probably placed w relatives as the father could not deal with them. Birth Mother was said to be Irish/French...DNA testing shows that the Birth Father was Ashkenazi Jewish descent. | |||||||||||||||||||||
