Female adoptee searching for birth parents. I was born March 1, 1971. My birth mother was 17 years old and believed to be a resident of the Burlington, NC area. I was placed in foster care 3 days after my birth. My birth mother was light skin, 5 ft. 8 in. tall and was big boned. This allowed her mother to conceal her pregnancy with me for 9 months. My birth mother was in the 11th grade and worked in a dime store. She came from a large family consisting of 3 sisters and 3 brothers. My birth mom's mother (My grandmother) worked as a domestic worker for a prominent family in the area. My birth father was 20 years old and in the military at the time of my birth. My birth mother dated him for 2 years prior to him being sent over seas. He was described as being 5 ft. 4 in. with stocky build, reddish brown hair and brown eyes. He had 7 or 8 children in his family. He completed high school while in the Job Corp and later joined the military.
