In search of my birth parents!! Before being adopted, I was named Kelly Jean Kangas. I was born on September 28, 1969 at William Beaumont hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. I weighed in at 6 lbs 15 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. My adoption records state that my biological mother was of Dutch & Finnish descent. She was born in October of 1946. She had 1 brother who was in college and had taken some real-estate classes and was studying pre-law. Her father was in WWII and died in 1949. My biological father was of German ancestry and was also born in 1946. He had spent time in the military/Armed Forces, but was working as a plumber at the time of my birth. His father was also of German descent & worked as a plumber. His mother had cancer as a young woman and had a lame arm from it.
