Surname(s):

FERNANDO : KIRBY

Query Text:

I was born 1st October 1991 and adopted into Australia in 1991 by Mr.Christopher Kirby and Mrs. Robyn Kirby. I was Born: Columbo North General Hospital, Regama. My name was Anne Risha. (now is Malika Kirby) I was taken to The Convent of the Good Shepherd, Nayakakanda Wattala. My Mother: Habarawa Battuwattege Nita Jasmi Fernando, Born 8th April 1962 born Madampe, North Western Province. Race: Sinhalese. My Father: Unknown. My Grand Father: Was Habarawa Battuwattege Authur Edioon Fernando, born Madampe, North Western Province. Story: My Mother and Grandmother travelled from in Madampe, North Western Province to Columbo North General Hospital, Regama to give birth to me in secret. My mother was a basket weaver and met my father while working, as she was not married while pregnant with me I feel this is the reason I was adopted. I know that my mother was one of 6 or 7 children with more boys than girls. I just want to know more whether it is just about the convent or my birthmother. I would really like to hope that she is alive and still thinks of me.
