I am helping my friend search for my friends birth mother, all she really knows about her birth mother is that she was the only girl, she had 4 brothers , 3 were older and one was younger. One of her brothers was in the military and chose to make a career out of it. Her father was a caretaker of some sort. Her birth mother only went to the 9th grade in school and had to quit because of a kidney condition. the non-identifying information that she has was that she had no mental illness and that she did want to become a beautician. She was 19 years old at the time of my friends birth.She was working part time as a waitress and baby sitting that is where it is believed she met the birth father The putative father was married at the time. We believe that she went to a home for unwed mothers in Avery county , north Carolina . the process we believe started in Avery county , but the adoption decree is from watauaga county , north Carolina. My friend was born on July 21,1963 in north Carolina. she weighed 7 lbs and 3 ozs at birth she was placed for adoption on November 15,1963 at 5 months,blonde haired blue eyed healthy baby girl. | |||||||||||||||||||||
