My 2x ggf states on a US Census that he came from Baden Germany in either 1853 or 1854 at about the age of 16 or 17. His name was GEORGE B FACH and he came thru the port of Philadelphia (can find no record in either 1853 or 1854), possibly because of misspelling or original spelling of his name which could be FACH, FOCH, FACHT, or VOCH. I know that there are still FACH families in Germany but do not have the connection to them as I have no parents of George B FACH. | |||||||||||||||||||||
