Looking for info on Fahy's and Flynn's of County Roscommon. Thomas Fahy (various spellings) was born in County Roscommon in 1818 -- I do not know exactly where, however. He left first for Liverpool where he worked at the Guinness Ale vaults, then around 1840 he left England for the US. In 1850, in Ellenville, NY he married Julia Flynn (also various spellings) who I believe to have been from County Roscommon as well. I know that her mother's name was Catherine, but I do not know for sure what Catherine's maiden name was nor do I know who Julia's father was. I am not sure of when exactly the Flynn's emigrated OR is Julia's father emigrated to America with them. In the censuses in the US, I find only Catherine, Julia and Julia's brothers, John and Patrick. Unfortunately there does not seem to be many records available on either family search or ancestry.com so I am really hoping that someone will have a source of information. Any help will be appreciated!!
