I am searching for the birth parents of my great great grandfather, Adolphus (dolphus) J. Seymour. He was born on July 25, 1898 and was adopted into a family with the last name of Seymour (Seymore). Adopted parents names are possibly Frank Seymore (from Wisconsin) and possibly Margaret Seymore (from Norway). Rumor has it he was born in Minnesota and took on the family name Seymour from his foster parents. My family believes that his family name by blood was Dupree or Duprey...but no one really knows. On one record Dolphus wrote that his mother was from Norway. This could be helpful information but it is unclear if that listed mother was his adopted mom or his birth mom. Unfortunately, there aren't many people in my family who have any informaton on this family mystery. However, I'm determined to figure this out.
