The young woman who gave birth to me was born in 1946 of Irish descent and Catholic faith. She was five feet, five and one-fourth inches and weighed 135 pounds. She had dark brown hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. She had a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and was working on her Master's degree. Her interests and ability had great scope and included literature, teaching, stage design, murals, newspaper writing, sewing, politics and theater. She was very bright and showed unusual understanding and compassion. The birthmother grew up in a strong familial Irish family and as a young child she lived with her immediate family near her extended family. She was in good health. She was nearsighted. The birthmother was single. THE BIRTHMOTHER'S FAMILY The birthmother's father was born in approximately 1920 of Irish descent. He was five feet eight inches tall and weighed 170 pounds. There was a tendency toward arthritis in the birthmother's maternal family. THE BIRTHFATHER The young man who shared in the conception of Matthew was born in 1942 of English descent. He was six feet, one inch tall and weighed 205 pounds. He had dark hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. He had a bachelor's degrees in agricultural engineering and art.
