I am trying to find out exactly when and how my 3rd great grandfather came to the United States. His name was William Blain; born 14 Sep 1839 in Carlisle, Cumberland, England; died 6 Jul 1897 in Spring City, Sanpete, Utah. I have found ships manifests for his mother and all his siblings. His mother (Isabella Graham Blain) always said that he was the first to immigrant to America. She and her younger children came in 1863, two other children arrived in 1862. | |||||||||||||||||||||
