I am looking for information on the family of my GGG-Grandfather, Cornelius Fitzgerald. From information he gave for a biographical sketch: He was born in Limerick, Ireland on 4 March 1804. He was the oldest of 13 children, 7 who grew to maturity. His father's name was John Fitzgerald (he did not give his mother's name). Due to the conditions in Ireland, his father chose to send Cornelius and some of the other children to the US. They arrived at Castle Garden, New York, United States in 1835. Cornelius worked in public works for 5 years saving money. He married Margaret Henchley,(possibly Hinchey), born in 1815, who he had known in Limerick. In 1840, he purchased 100 acres in Terry Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. He and Margaret had 8 children. Margaret died in 1852. Cornelius died in 1897.
