Bernard FOX b.1790, Clontibret Co. Monaghan, Ireland: Michael McShane b.1768 Ballynascreen, Co.Derry and Hugh McShane (his brother) b.1773 Ballynascreen, Co.Derry. All three were convicted in 1817 of Larceny, and were sentenced to be transported to Tasmania for Life. All three arrived on the Convict Ship Minerva in mid-1818. They were paroled early and the McShanes took up land. Bernard FOX married Hughes daughter Mary and they lived at Colebrook where he was a Blacksmith. Would appreciatre any info at all on these three men, particularly while in Ireland. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
