 John McKelvey born 1771 in Ireland, died in St-Sylvestre, Quebec, Canada. Married Mary Slaven (Slevin) in Ireland abt. 1800. Papers say he immigrated from County Donegal to Canada about 1834. One daughter Catherine married John Haggerty and had child Hugh born in Raphoe, County Donegal. Would love to hear from any McKelvey's Slaven from this area.
