I am looking for my great grandfather Adams, married to Sarah Jane Abernathy, 1847-1936, father to Zellie/Zella Adams Knapps Moore Beal/Beale, dates unknown, Thomas Jefferson Adams, 1873-1945, Charles James "Dick" Adams, 1885-1960, and Ethel Adams, 1890-1978. Sarah, Thomas, "Dick" and Ethel are buried in Bullock Cemetery north of Rasnger, Eastland County, Texas. The story goes his father disappeared from the family shortly after Ethel's birth, when my grandfather "Dick" was still a toddler. If I could find the birth certificate of any of the children (all born before 1903) or the marriage certificate of Sarah (before 1872, in Texas?)
