EMERSON : RINEHART | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Query Text: |
Leonard Rinehart and his brothers Ludwig(Louis) and Christopher arrived in N.O. with there parents in 1849 from Ger.. In 1850 the two younger boys were found in an orphanage.I have not been able to find out what happened to the parents or why the boys were placed in the orphanage. Leonard surfaced in Indiana and served in the Ind. Vol. Union army during the civil war and later work for a farmer named Emerson. Leonard is mentioned in the book Looking Back at Gibson County as a river trader. I am looking for information on his brothers who may have joined him in Ind. after they left the orphanage. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
