My Great-Grandfather was Martin Seljeskog. He married Malena Halverson. Five years after their son, Seger, was born, they came to America. First Martin. Then Malena, Seger, and Martin's brother Lars Sigbjornson Seljeskog followed, a year or so later. I do know that Martin came over in 1888. Unfortunately for me, they were pre-Ellis Island. So finding records has been nothing short of difficult. I do know that the lived in Strand, Norway. But I do not know from where in Norway Malena came. I'd very much like to know as much as I can about them all and their ancesters. I know that Martin and Lars were from a semi-large family and had a couple of sisters.
