Christian Siebold and his family, wife Barbara, sons John, Adam, and Bernard, came to the USA in 1834. They landed on July 4 of that year. The lived in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Ohio before finally establishing a permanent home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Christian may not have been his first given name. A cousin has told me he has seen it on what few records we have as C. Christian, Christian Christopher, and other variations. I think his first name may have been Carl, Charles, or Karl. I have checked the IGI many time in many ways to find him. His wife Barbara died before they reached Ohio. She may have died in Pennsylvania. Christian's second wife Sarah Ann Moses was born in Pennsylvania. Sarah came to the marriage with several children and I don't know here first married surname. Sarah lived to the age of 96 and died in Indianapolis. She was living with her son George. George's grandchildren are not interesting in genealogy and have refused to even think about any answers to these questions. Does anyone know a good source of genealogical answers from Hesse? Surnames could have been: Siebold,Seabold, Seibold, Seybold, Zeybold, etc. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
