There is a marriage bond in the records of Pittsylvania County, VA (1788) for Thomas Oakes. However, the name of the bride is left blank. The bondsman was Jesse Smith. Can anyone help me with ANY information on the Jesse Smith family that might give me a clue on the name of hie daughters? Any information at all on this family would be appreciated.Betty McGarity
