Hello...Does anyone believe in looking for a needle in a haystack? Well, here we go. I am looking for ANYTHING on Maria Woodhouse Fox. She was the oldest daughter of John and Ann (Newton) Woodhouse. The family immigrated to America from England in 1830. They lived in Pennsylvania..near Pottsville..the family were miners. Maria married a man named Henry Fox..also a miner. The Woodhouse moved to Wisconsin in about 1836 or so..but Maria and Henry did not go with them..they remained in Pennsylvania. We have now learned that Maria died..don't know how..and a very short time later Henry drowned in a mining accident. Their deaths were very close together. They left two little girls..who were adopted into Henry's family. There might be a record of their marriage..or of their deaths..or a cemetery record of where they are buried and what their tombstones say..Is there anyone in Schuylkill County, PA who might be able to poke around and help us find some answers. Maria was the sister to my husband's great great grandfather. I am just trying to account for all of the children. Thanks for anything anyone might be able to do to help.
