My family records indicate my ggrandfather, Henry Austin Carpenter and ggrandmother, Frances Ewing, were married in Laclede, MO November 13, 1867. I do not know if it was a religious or civil ceremony, nor do I know her parent's names. I think she had a brother named John B Ewing(wife's name Ellen), another brother named George Ewing and a sister named Jeanne Ewing Kersey. Henry had recently come to Missouri from Maine after serving in the Civil War. Any help with information about the Ewing family would be appreciated. I also would like to know if there is a central repository for genealogic information in Brookfield or other location in Linn County. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
