Researching MaryAnn McCully, daughter of Lacemakers, she married William Colquohoun,a Hatter, in 1816 in Dumbarton Scot. shortly after the marriage she left him and went to live with Jacob Dixon. There was a court case in 1829 in which it was stated that MaryAnn had children to J.Dixon (Jacob,John & MaryAnn) this was presumably to enable W.Colquohoun to divorce M.McCully. MaryAnn stayed with Jacob Dixon until his death in 1831, I cannot find any information about her after this date. Her daughter MaryAnn married Dr.John Bell in Portsoy,Scot. in 1837,eventually migrating to Australia. Family info that cannot be confirmed and has no dates - MaryAnn McCully or McCulloch was the daughter of Mary Ann Robertson and James McCulloch, her brothers being Thomas and James. M.A.Robertson's parents were supposedly MaryAnn Saul she married John Robertson who was an officer in the army. The Saul's were Bankers in Don(w)patrick,Ire. and apparently discarded MaryAnn when she married J.R. Any information about MaryAnn McCully/Colquohoun/Dixon would be greatly appreciated. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
