my birth mother - Margret Rose Weeks or could be Kemp. I was born in St.Mary's Hospital Paddington London on 07-11-1956 . I was told my mother was a 17yr old Irish girl who was sent over from Ireland to have me - I know she loved me she stayed around the area I lived and sent cards and presents which I was never given but one birthday I opened the door to the postman and I had been sent a Post Office Set which I loved She also approached me after school one day when I was about 7 and I screamed and ran away because I had been told bad things about her my adoptive mother which i know now are not true and I do understand the complications that a public approach might have for her - I would meet any requirements she might have in order to finally meet her. I was adopted by Frederick Charles Field and his wife Madeleine Iris Field of Lintaine Grove or Bayonne Rd Fulham London and was given the new name of Madeleine Ellen May - I was Margret Rose on my original birth certificate The adoption took place in July ( I believe) at Fulham Court . My adoptive mother told me she looked after me while my birth mother worked she then met a man who wanted to marry her and she either couldn't tell him about me because it was a huge sin way back then or he didn't want me -so they adopted me - I do know how hard it must have been for her to give me up the testament to that is that she stayed in the area for so long after. I have NO ill-will or recriminations of any kind - I know life was very different and extremely difficult in the 50s for an unmarried pregnant Irish catholic girl. My dearest wish if she is still alive is just to say 'hello Mum'
