Can someone tell me about the Isaac Wescoat that is in the 1870 census, age 46 from NY in Nemaha Co. KS? My ancestor Amaziah Wescott from Ontario Co., NY had a son Isaac that we have nothing on except for his name. Amaziah was back in NY abt. that time this Isaac would have been born. Amaziah had gone from Ontario Co., NY to Crawford Co., PA and then back up to NY then back to Crawford Co., PA. Amaziah had a brother Lewis who we lost till I found him in Mich. with a son Quinton. I just discovered Quinton over in Decatur Co. in 1900 and I feel these KS Wescott's are related somehow. There is also a William Grinnell in 1870 in Nemaha Co., KS. My Amaziah Wescott's mother was a Grinnell whose family also settled in Ontario Co., NY and some of them also went to Crawford Co., PA. Hope to meet up with some of my lost Wescott/Grinnell cousins. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
