The story told to me from a young age, was that I was born in North Carolina at Columbus County Hospital 08/19/1967. Then given to my paternal Grandmother, who lived in Whiteville NC. I was picked up from her house at only a few months old. Miriam Mann(a school teacher in Whiteville) contacted my Mother (her sister, wonderful lady who raised me) about a baby in need of good home. Facts from Dept of Public Welfare paperwork at time of filing: born 08/19/1967 on amended Live Birth record - Placed with petitioners on 12/05/1967 - Petition for Adoption 01/02/1968 - Court finalized 12/10/1968 - Final filing Index No. 41847 01/31/1969 Social Worker Mrs. Jo Anne P. Vereen also of Whiteville (Information on the following was current as of mid to late 1967)birth Mother 20 yrs old 5'2" 125 lbs HS grad 1 yr college brown curly hair brown eyes Eastern European Jewish descent allergic to fruit juices, milk, some pollens married to father. Brother 17 yrs old 6'0 165 lbs brown hair and eyes 12th grader Sister 9 yrs old brown hair and eyes 3rd grader Grandfather 47 yrs old 5'11" 170 lbs black hair hazel eyes Grandmother 40 yrs old 5'3" 170 lbs brown hair and eyes..-..Birth Father 20 yrs old 5'7" 190 lbs blue eyes brown wavy hair HS grad in MILITARY of Russian and German Jewish descent. Brother 11 yrs old red hair blue eyes 7th grader Sister 16 yrs old black hair brown eyes 12th grader Grandfather 46 yrs old 5'10" 230 lbs black hair brown eyes 9th grade listed as education Grandmother 42 yrs old 5'0 120 lbs blonde hair blue eyes HS grad plus 2 yrs more ? myself and all family members are caucasian US citizens and Jewish. The parents that raised me have passed on. Family is so important to me ! My dream is for me, my wife, children, and grandchildren to have the opportunity to meet my birth parents and their families. I so want my children to be able to learn the things about their father that I have never been able to share with them. And also fill the void in my life. CAN YOU HELP US ?? PLEASE!!!
