Query Text:

Searching for sister or half-sister who was given up for adoption in New Orleans. Best guess of birth date is late 1954 through early 1955. Our mother was from Cobb County, Georgia and would have been 20 years old if the birth date range is correct. She was 5' 9" tall, very thin, auburn hair, green eyes, fair skin with freckles, academically gifted. She named the baby "Mary Ann" after her great grandmother and had a small photo that was given to her by a nurse. I do not know which hospital or adoption agency was used. In the early 1980's, she told me that she had written to the agency letting them know that she was open to a reunion. I found no trace of that correspondence, or the newborn photo when I closed her house.
