I am seeking information about the parents of James Bartlett, who was born in Crawford County, Illinois in 1845. He married Sarah Ellen Higgins in Illinois in January,1870. They subsequently homesteaded in Fort Kearny, later Newark, Nebraska. Children of James Bartlett and Sarah Ellen Higgins are: George Elmer Bartlett, born Illinois 1871, Ruth Jennie Bartlett (Smead) , born 1875 in Newark, Nebraska and Minnie Ellen Bartlett (Hindalong) born 1885 in Newark.
