I am looking for any information regarding the Motley family of Alabama, specifically Love [or Loveard] Motley and his wife, Antoinette King. They were born circa 1853, and I am not sure if they were born into slavery or not. They are my great-grandparents, the parents of my grandmother Leila Belle Motley Snowden. I have found them on the 1880 census, but nothing before or after. Leila married an Americus Snowden, and I am looking for information on his family too.
