I am looking for information on the LIND family line in the American Colonies and back to Europe. I have a George LIND born in the New Jersey Colony about 1750 and died in Warren Co., OH in 1825. He married Mary (unknown) about 1780. They had at least one son, Andrew, born about 1780, and died in 1839 in Hamilton County, OH. He married Rachel Bly about 1804, in Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia. Rachel was born May 5, 1782 in Shenandoah, and died in about 1846 in Hamilton County, OH. Her family, Bly or Bley, can be traced back to the mid-1600?s in Alsace. Andrew Lind and Rachel Bly had nine children: 1805 George Washington 1809 Andrew Richard 1811 Charles Taylor 1813 Thomas Newell 1817 William Henry Harrison (H.H.) 1822 Mary And three other daughters William H. H. Lind married Rachel Prather in 1846 in Indiana, USA. Rachel Prather?s family line traces (uncertainly at this point in time) back to Williamus Prater of Wiltshire, England, and his wife, Yschiteor, Princess of Powys Castle, Wales, who were married about 1450. There is some evidence that one branch of a family that married into the Prather/Prater line traces back to Henry I, King of France, and his wife, Anne of Kiev, married about 1049 in Reims, France. I have good documents on the descendants of George and Mary Lind, but would like to learn about their ancestors. 1) Who were George?s parents? Where and when were they born? Where and when did they die? Did George have any brothers or sisters? 2) What was George?s wife, Mary?s, maiden name? When was she born and where?
