Looking for the parents of Mary Agnes Cox (b. ca. 1821) and Robert H. Wood (b. ca. 1831), who were married 17 February 1853 in Chesterfield Co., Virginia by J. H. (or J. L.) Trueman; had Mary E. (b. ca. Dec. 1953), Vandelia Virginia (b. ca. 1855), and Brunetta Frances Wood (1859-1899); Irby C. Cox (b. ca. 1840)is enumerated with the family in the 1860 Federal Census; Irby Cox fought in the Civil War and died of disease in 1864 in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he is buried; Mary Agnes Cox may be related somehow to the Irbys, since they appear in the Chesterfield will books during the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Vandelia V. Wood married Robert Daniel Vaughan in Chesterfield. Brunetta (Nettie) Wood married Emmett F. Cardwell (b. Nov. 1857), son of Richard and Mary (Lacy) Cardwell, on 8 February 1882 in Chesterfield.
